Feel free to explore all that we do at Salish Music. There are helpful tutorial videos, some updates on current music activities and some rotating fun videos. At Ecole Salish we focus on music as a participatory activity that engages students academically, creatively and physically through playing, singing and listening to music from a wide range of cultural and historical backgrounds. We emphasis the skills of playing rhythms and melodies, reading and interpreting music notation, improvising, and working as a team. Throughout there is a focus on making a personal connection to the instrument and to the music we are playing and learning about.
